Preserving our World

August 4, 2013 by james

We believe the creation is to be loved and preserved.

Every religion has a creation story, and the ones in the Hebrew Bible tell of a God who stands back after the creation act and says, “This is good!” While we don’t hold to a pre-scientific theory of origins, we do join the ancient story writers in believing that the world around us is good and must be loved and preserved.

This church is the home of the Blue Theology Mission Station, which brings learning/serving groups to the peninsula to learn about the Monterey Bay, to work in acts of preservation, and to learn about the theology of care for our planet.

We are a certified Aqua Marine Chalice Church through the Green Chalice Program of The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
